Aroma Spa & Sports
LA's 336,000 sqft wellness megaplex
Editor’s Take
Plan for at least 3-4 hours to do it justice. The golf range is surprisingly good. Come hungry — the on-site restaurants are part of the experience. Mid-to-premium range (Admission + services). Flexible enough for different budgets. Mid-to-premium pricing — worth it for regulars, steep for a one-off visit.
About
Aroma Spa & Sports is not a spa. It's a civilization. At 336,000 square feet, this Koreatown megaplex is almost certainly the largest wellness-adjacent facility in Los Angeles, and calling it "wellness-adjacent" is doing it a disservice. There are saunas and steam rooms, yes, but also a Jr. Olympic swimming pool, a four-level golf driving range, a full gym, a shopping arcade, multiple restaurants, and karaoke rooms. You could move in and not leave for a week. The scale creates an experience you genuinely cannot find anywhere else in the city. You can swim laps, hit golf balls, steam in a Korean sauna, eat galbi, sing karaoke, and buy groceries — all without stepping outside. It sounds absurd written out, and it is absurd, gloriously so. The crowd is a cross-section of Koreatown itself: families, athletes, date-nighters, and serious spa-goers all sharing the same massive footprint. The facility is well-maintained given its age and volume, which is an operational miracle. Aroma isn't for the person who wants a quiet, selected 90-minute wellness experience. It's for the person who wants to make a day of it — or an evening, or a whole weekend afternoon. The combination of genuine athletic facilities (that pool is regulation) with Korean spa culture and entertainment creates something uniquely Los Angeles. Come with friends, come with family, or come alone and explore. You'll find your corner.
